Clinical Base Experience

Podiatric Wound Care

  • Experience in treatment of diabetic foot ulcers, venous Leg ulcers, arterial wounds, charcot foot, pressure ulcers and post-surgical wounds
Wound Care Modalities Include:
  • Dressings: (hydrocolloids, foam dressings, collagen dressings, FTSG and STSG, synthetic skin substitutes)
  • Offloading Modalities: (TCC, padding and strapping, offloading shoes, CROW walkers, PLS)
  • Compression therapy: (tubigrips, compression stockings, pneumatic compression therapy, unnaboot therapy)
  • Negative Pressure wound therapy: (application of Wound VACs)
  • Surgical intervention: chronic ulcers, osteomyelitis (debridements, incision and drainage of abscess, amputations, exostectomies)

Podiatric Surgical Experience

  • Assisted in surgical reconstruction of the foot and ankle, wound care, sports medicine, dermatology, and diabetic limb salvage.
  • Forefoot: hallux abductovalgus, arthritities of hallux & digits (DJD, Rheumatoid, etc.), digital deformities, trauma, distal and proximal osteotomies, soft tissue abnormalities, neuromas, etc.
  • Midftoot: Lapidus, Lisfranc fracture/dislocations, arthrodesis, tarsal fractures, brachymetatarsus, charcot, etc.
  • Hindfoot and Ankle: Ankle and calcaneal ORIF, single and multi-joint arthrodesis, tendon and ligamentous repair/augmentation/transfers, achilles tendon repair/ reconstruction etc.
  • Miscellaneous: Nerve releases/decompressions, Plastics procedure (rotational skin flaps, grafts, minimal scar techniques).
